I followed my visit to Bagan with a tour of the other 2 big tourist spots in Burma. Mandalay and Inle. I had not been in Inle before and figured though it is infested by tourism, there are really few other places that one can visit in this country. While in Mandalay, I made it a point to meet a friend’s family and Aunty San was as awesome as I had remembered her from my last time here. It was indeed lovely to do a reunion tour, heh. I made a brief trip to a small spot called Monywa, which, though it was a terrible place to be in, was made memorable. That deserves a separate post. A side trip to Pyin Oo Lwin and Hsipaw was nice and I scouted some trails I had taken in my earlier visit here. This revisit tour is making me want to do the same thing in Latin America too. Inle was choke full of tourists, but it was still a stunning place and the floating food gardens and farms were really neat. I want these holiday posts to be photo heavy and so I am skipping more write up.
