I am staying in Thailand for a few days and hanging out at Noom’s Du Coffee Cup is as good a way as any! The place is cozy, Noom is friendly and the coffee is excellent.

I hung out on wifi researching Myanmar all day long. Its good to have nice wifi again. I got some of the maps needed for the GPS and things I could do only with good internet. Fuelled by good coffee all day, It was nice hanging out. TOnight we spend another day camping out at Noom’s.

In the evening, we hit the Hub Pub, which is a small place owned by Alan bate, an avid cyclist. He has made the place into a sort of bicycle mecca with many old bikes and interesting posters lining the walls. I find it to be more of a museum than a pub and Alan is really nice chap. Not to mention he has multiple Guinness records under his belt in relation to cycling. In 2010, he rode around the world in 127 days or something ridiculous and its the current record! holy cow! He has ridden to Chiang Rai from here in 2:42 and I think I will take at least 6. Dang!

Anyway, we hung out there and tried his little trick bike (check the video). Was lots of laughter with all of us falling over.

Tomorrow we make our way to Chiang Rai.
