After the long night at the music festival, people were going strong, but we decided to get back and knock some sleep in the system. Slept well and work up to some drizzle and cloudy sky.
Wednesday morning was the local market day and we head out to get some b’fast. The market was huge but my supplies for veggie food was limited, but I got some good grub and added some banana sticky rice and some braised peanuts. Good to go for the day! But hey it’s an off day for me and nowhere to go, so myself and Andres went to a coffee shop and had some good fresh roast. The thing about Thailand, I remember from my previous trips, is that you can get reliable coffee from even the small shops. The coffee here didn’t disappoint at all and a proper latte at 50 bhat is great any time of the day!
While here I learnt from Candice and Sarah that there is a good local tattoo artist. I figured, hey, I like this place and it would be cool to stamp Thailand here! Andres was also interested and so after a lunch cooked by Sarah, we were cruising down the road to meet Kai for my stamp. Kai was a cool chap and he helped me decide and design my tattoo and did a really nice job with the shading. I am pleased with my Thai stamp for sure!
Hopefully Khanom will let us leave tomorrow!
