    Hi Nat,

Thks for sharing your trip to Russia. Looks like a truly awesome place with so much to see and experience. Its a place too vast to make it a bike trip, you think?

Hope you will recover quickly from post-hol blues…

Thanks Al. It is indeed an awesome place. The Post Hol blues are going to be long drawn. The memories are too many and the adventures too memorable.

Trans siberia on a bike… Too harsh. Even on trains, the villages come by once every couple of hours. Summer is short and winter is too harsh. If exhaustion does not kill, the cold definitely will. But a challenge needs to be faced eh. It is possible to plan a trip across years. but needs careful planning. having local friends would be very helpful.

There are stretches that are worth bike touring on I bet, Moscow-St.Petersburg is a nice route. Around Lake Baikal is another. Baikal in Summer is supposed to be stunning and romantic.
